15 Central Park West Project Nears Completion

Twenty months after production began, Indiana Limestone Company nears completion of their latest monumental project. This billion dollar design-assist condominium project is an 866,000 sq.ft. structure of neoclassical design, clad in Indiana Limestone. Situated along Columbus Circle and overlooking Central Park, the project required 290,000 sq.ft. of Indiana Limestone Company’s Empire Full Color Blend which was cut and shipped to Canada to be affixed to a pre-cast back and then shipped to New York. Indiana Limestone Company is proud to have been a part of such a great construction team and to participate in the building of this Limestone icon.

Infinity and Beyond!

Indiana Limestone Company’s recently added a new fabrication line. The new industrial CNC stone profiling machine, “Infinity”, was purchased from Park Industries and brought on-line in January 2007. The line features a 96 foot gantry capable of staging 17 standard size slabs in the new machine’s queue. The INFINITY CNC machine can employ a 48” saw blade as a standard programmable saw or profiler. It can also use an 8” or 12” diamond router bit to automatically produce an endless variety of complex profile limestone pieces. The Master Cam software used to control the new CNC line is a powerful tool that can convert ILC’s CAD drawings to ‘G-code” language used to direct the machines movements. The ability of INFINIFY to run in the “lights-out” mode provides new challenges for the ILC management team.
